Just because the One Ring may be no more in The Lord of the Rings Online (LOTRO) doesn’t mean the fun has to end. Hell, Standing Stone Games and Daybreak Games have proven that with the multiple updates to the MMORPG that have come after the climactic finish in Mordor. Now we’re off to more new adventures in Middle-earth in today’s Update 43 patch.
The major content piece in Secrets of Utug-bûr sees players taking on the new Tier 1 Temple of Utug-bûr raid. To access the raid, you need to be level 150 and have access to the Legacy of Morgoth expansion. Tier 2 of the raid will drop on March 13th, and the third tier arrives on March 20th.
On the more casual side of things, if you’ve been enjoying Birding since it was added, you’ll likely be delighted to know that over 100 new birds are waiting to be found across nine new searchable territories.
If you’re farming rewards, the 13th Season of the Legendary Items Reward Track arrives in this update, and the Deeds Log has finally received a bit of a visual upgrade. Tabs are gone and the menu now works with a tree format, and we can finally search by exact text.
As is usually the case with MMORPG updates, this one comes with the laundry list of class balance changes, bug fixes, and more. The full patch notes break it all down.
