Delta Force has been met with “Mixed” reactions on Steam since the multiplayer portion of the shooter launched in December. Most of the more negative reviews focus on the game’s anti-cheat software and the F2P title’s monetization. That said, many have been eager to see what the game’s first campaign content would offer. “Black Hawk Down” is a reimagining of both the movie and the original 2003 title in the franchise.
Interestingly, Team Jade has decided to make the DLC free to download for all players effective later tonight at 9 PM eastern time.
If you want to play through 7 new missions which Team Jade estimates to be about 4-5 hours of total content, you’ll be able to do so without pulling out your credit card or hitting up your Steam wallet. (I’ve reached out to see why the team made this F2P decision as we previously believed that the DLC would have a price tag. I’ll update this piece if they get back to us on their rationale.)
While you wait for the launch tonight, you can hit up “Flappy Hawk” via a web browser right now and try to navigate your way to the leaderboards in a “Flappy Bird” clone. Multiple Delta Force rewards are available should you fly far enough.
