A year ago, to coincide with the January Full Wolf Moon, Rebel Wolves revealed The Blood of Dawnwalker, their upcoming action RPG. Now, they’re back with a new video looking back at 2025’s big reveals, debuting the game’s theme music, and sharing a new gameplay story teaser.
All of this comes in a new video tied to the latest Wolf Moon, and comes when the studio is planning to release the game later this year. No, we don’t get a launch window just yet, but we do get a variety of new things to chew over. One is the official cover art, showing the protagonist, Coen, set against a solar eclipse meant to convey Coen’s dual nature as a Dawnwalker: human by day and vampire by night.
The second is a new story teaser, which shows two new characters the team says will be key to the story. We also get new looks, all in beta footage, of the setting of Vale Sangora, in day and night. We don’t know who these characters are just yet, but this is a 40-second teaser. Now that we’ve reached launch year, we’re likely to get a lot more info.
We also get an orchestral performance of the game’s title track from composer Nikola Kolodziejczyk. In a press release, he says, about the title theme, “The theme leans heavily on sounds and instruments associated with the place and time of the game – the 14th century, at the foot of the Carpathian Mountains. We wanted to pay homage to that era and its people and stay as true to historical authenticity as possible”.
You can watch the full video above, with the look back on 2025, followed by the music, and then, finally, the story teaser.
