Splitgate 2’s Open Alpha To Include 24-Player Matches And A New Map That’s MASSIVE

1047 Games is just about ready to open Splitgate 2’s testing to everyone with an open alpha test. The test kicks off on February 27 and will last until March 2. During this time, players will be able to test out the shooter‘s new 24-player multi-team portal warfare as well as other new modes like a Capture the Flag and Oddball hybrid known as “Splitball”.

During the test, new maps will be introduced as well: one 8v8v8 map and two 4v4. The 8v8v8 mode is a massive frozen map. It’s 20x the size of other Splitgate maps and allows players to chain speed using sliding. The 4v4 maps include the game’s most vertical map and a map packed with portal walls. Of course, there will be new weapons and gear to check out as well.
